This debate has raged throughout the Poke-Nerd universe for as long as the video games have been around. Which Pokemon do you choose to start off your journey through the Pokemon world? Bulbasaur, Squirtle, or Charmander. It’s a choice that has haunted the 
dreams and reality of many a gamer, and it’s basically the Sophie’s Choice of the gaming world. Oh, and no matter which one you choose, your rival will choose it’s weakness. (If you choose fire, he chooses water. Choose water, he chooses grass. Choose grass, he chooses fire.) What an ass.
The thing that sets this choice apart from all other games is the strategy involved. And here’s why. The first two gyms pretty much decide the rest of your journey, because by the third gym you’ll probably be powerful enough that it doesn’t really matter which Pokemon you chose. So you need to do well in these first two gyms.
The first gym you come to is Brock’s gym, which is a rock fortress. Rock is especially weak
against water, so if you choose Squirtle it should be an easy victory. The second gym is Misty’s gym, which is all about the water Pokemon. Therefore if you choose Bulbasaur you
should walk through this gym. But, if you chose Charmander, it’s not so black and white (green and blue?). Rock has no weakness to fire, and water is fire’s weakness.
That’s what makes Charmander the best, and most fun, choice as a starter. It truly takes a Pokemon master to get through the first part of your journey with him. It is a real challenge, and knowing you did it with as little advantage as possible is a real confidence booster, and bragging point.
Oh, and did I mention that he looks the coolest too? I was never a fan of Squirtle’s and Wartortle’s fluffiness, or Bulbasaur’s (and it’s evolutionary counterparts Ivysaur’s and Venusaur’s) tree-like appearance. Sure Blastoise is pretty cool, but only Charmander remains totally awesome all throughout it’s 3 evolutionary stages.
Also, he eventually evolves into Charizard, the voted “Best Pokemon of All-time.”

Ok, this is the only thing you’ve posted with the tiniest bit of sense in it. To make this complete however, you should of titled it “In my opinion Charmander was the best starter” because not everyone else thinks Charmander’s the best starter (I personally prefer the Squirtle line)
